A Migrant's Journey

 I can not begin to fathom the arduous journeys in which migrants have to embark. On top of the long distances and adverse conditions, migrants face numerous issues when finally reaching their destinations. After working with refugees coming into Munich, Germany, I gained a wider insight into the processes migrants and refugees must go through to potentially become citizens of Germany. I would like to put an enormous emphasis on the "potentially" part of that sentence. 

Germany is considered one of the best countries for migrants, yet the integration process of these migrants into society is extremely arduous. One of the first migrant facilities people are assigned to when coming into Germany, through Munich, is located just outside of Fürstenfeldbruck (another quaint little town about an hour away from Munich). This facility is not only difficult to find, but also quite ostracized from the rest of society, making it that much harder for migrants to adapt to their new lives in an unknown place. 

On top of all the physical struggles migrants face, the governmental processes they must go through are extremely challenging, with Germany being on the better side of the spectrum when talking about refugee integration. Migrants are only supposed to stay at the facility outside of Fürstenfeldbruck for a short period of time. This facility is but a mere stopping point for migrants but because of how hard and long the process is to be accepted as a citizen, many refugees find themselves staying there for months on end.
